Yoga with Paula has provided yoga and Wing Chun Kung Fu to people with disabilities in Adelaide, South Australia since 2006.
These two body/mind disciplines are both highly adaptable allowing people of all physical abilities to benefit and enjoy participating.
As a teacher of both, I have merged the two together to create Yoga Fu Sessions for people with disabilities and I have been sharing these 45 minute sessions to clients at various disability services for over ten years.
Currently I visit five Novita community hubs each week & visit several people in their homes for one-on-one YogaFu.
In the past i have worked with residents atDisability Living, Barkuma Inc. Employment agency and the Flinders University Community Re-entry programme for people with acquired brain injuries.
A Yoga Fu sessions consists of:
- Modified movements
- Assisted stretching
- Energising sound
- Whole body awareness
- Yogic relaxation
- Breath awareness
- Visualisation
- Community spirit
Yoga Fu Sessions are either chair based or floor based and can include some standing options depending on the abilities of the participants.
These sessions can be noisy, unpredictable and lots of fun!
Enquire or book with me for a one off session or ongoing classes.
